Carlo Moretti, Collectible Glasses, 2010 I Photo: Sergio Sutto
The exhibition dedicated to the precious donation of 2020 to the Glass Museum of 453 works by the famous Carlo Moretti company presents almost all of its pieces to the public for the first time, constituting an unmissable opportunity to clearly and precisely learn about the history of the company and the evolution of its well-known production from the 1960s to today. Since its foundation on 30 October 1958 by Carlo and Giovanni Moretti, two young men from Murano belonging to a family of glass entrepreneurs, Carlo Moretti has always been recognized for the creation of crystal objects - goblets, glasses, containers for various uses and art objects - characterized by a constant search for essential and clean lines, with simple and primary shapes composed mostly of geometries based on cylinders and spheres, together with technical innovation and the development of cutting-edge processing tools from time to time.
